Producing Real Food that Heals both our Bodies and the Soil…

With no previous experience in farming, Neil & Joanne set off to create something different in Herefordshire. Their ambition was to live off grid and create a business that worked with the land around them. To produce food free from chemicals, to farm in a way that would add to the soil and not take away.

Small Scale Farming

Their plot is just under 30 acres in the Herefordshire hills with incredible views of the black mountains opposite. They have a small flock of sheep, pigs, hens for eggs and broilers for meat.

Their farming vision is to provide Real food for local people. They buy in Organic feed for all their animals, however the pasture systems that the animals graze on gives them access to the best quality grasses & herbs.

No Chemicals

Both Neil & Joanne feel strongly that producing food should not include chemicals, they treat their animals homoeopathically and opt out of vaccinations, this may sometimes mean that only the strongest survive however they can guarantee that their produce is as natural as possible.

Their Story…

Since moving to the farm in 2024 Neil and Joanne started from scratch with their farming enterprises.

Neils served in the Military for 23 years whilst Joannes Background was in finance they were both working within rigid structures.

Moving out to the Herefordshire Hills was a huge change in lifestyle as well as how they made their money.

Neil studied permaculture and regenerative agriculture in the lead up to the purchase of the land.

Their vision…

To produce food that is real, food that nourishes the body and sustains the future on this planet, working with the land, supporting health and wellbeing for the animals and the habitats that surround them.

The importance of community…

Neil and Joanne know that farming is a 24/7 business and enjoy working with a small community of people with similar visions and interests, collaborating to make the farm work, building reciprocal relationships with the humans the animals and the land.

Direct to customer…

Most of their sales are direct to customer, this allows them to keep their prices affordable as well as maintain relationships with customers. Neil & Joanne share what’s happening on the farm on their Facebook page, click below to follow them.
